KANSAS CITY, MO
We are thrilled to announce that Brit Boy Street Food was featured on KCTV5 News in a story covering England’s announcement of Kansas City as their official base camp for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Founder Chris Thomas, originally from Yorkshire, England, was interviewed about the excitement surrounding England’s decision to train in Kansas City – just five miles from his business operations. The segment highlighted the cultural exchange opportunities this presents and the authentic British flavors Brit Boy brings to the Kansas City community.
“The fact that all these cultures are coming to you, embrace it. Get to know these people. See what they’re all about, and you’ll be amazed how many commonalities and just how we’re so similar as humans no matter where we come from.”— Chris Thomas, Founder, Brit Boy Street Food
The feature also spotlighted Brit Boy’s partnership with local businesses like Browne’s Irish Market, demonstrating how small businesses in Kansas City collaborate to support one another and strengthen the community.
Thomas shared the surreal nature of having his home country’s national team training so close to his adopted home: “I moved 6,000 miles away from home 18 years ago and the fact that my forever home is gonna be five miles away from where they’re setting up shop is just crazy.”
We’re honored to represent British food culture in Kansas City during this historic World Cup moment and grateful to KCTV5 for telling our story.
