How it happened
It started with the press room.
When England named Kansas City as their base camp for the 2026 World Cup, the English media came with them — and set up in a press room a few miles from our kitchen.
We donated sausage rolls to feed the English media at the press conference. They enjoyed them so much that we got invited back the week after, and managed to get them into the hands of several players, including team captain Harry Kane.
Traditional and spicy, made the same way we make them every week for the markets. Nothing special laid on. Just the thing we already do, served to people a very long way from home.
Not a bad fortnight.
